This photo was taken on one of the islands of the magical and gorgeous Azores. I went to the S. Miguel Island on a job assignment (workshop), and free time was scarce. Fortunately, me and a group of friends managed to arrange a 4 hours car travel through the island, and what a feast for the eyes that trip was! This is, in my opinion, along with S. Jorge, the most beautiful island in Azores. Breathtaking landscapes are around every corner. One thing is for sure... I must return there soon!
The depicted lake is located on the top of a volcanic mountain, and it's called Lagoa do Fogo (Fire Lake). It's the 2nd largest lake of the island, and it's located 575 metres high.
Shot with my Pentax K10d, Sigma 10-20, and 3 stop ND Grad filter. Tweaked levels, curves, noise reduction, and final sharpening was applied.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More

Sleepwalker seducing me
I dare to enter your ecstasy
Lay yourself now down to sleep
In my dreams you're mine to keep
Gostava muito de ir ao Açores, nem que seja 1 vez na vida.
