The Velvet View

After the apocalypse, a velvet world will still be there, eternal.

Another shot from the Costa Vicentina. This image shows a strong emphasis in the rock formations. It's amazing to watch every geological detail in these beaches, where the land enters the sea very abruptly, with very distinct rock formations exposed.

A very long exposure - 180 seconds - made after sunset, with a 2 stop soft ND grad filter and a 4 stop full ND filter. Even though it's usually considered a flaw, I like the color cast of the 4 stop filter in long exposures, especially on these overcast days.

Processed through Adobe Camera Raw with basic adjustments, and then slight color balance fine tuning in photoshop and final sharpening.

It belongs to another world... it belongs to a world where lightly is increasingly retained in the soul, making everything more intense. :)
