Torn Between Dreams

Having to choose,
Forced to choose,
Compelled to choose,
And most of all
tired of choosing,
and faking the knowledge
of knowing the difference
between the right and the wrong choice

Longing alone for the answers
which seem to never come
and trying to make sense
of a life that the years made too complex
too narrow
too dull
too sad

Since I'll always have to choose
I would prefer to choose
with the intuition I once had
the one that allowed to see
the light inside each path
the reason inside each option
the heart inside each step

I'm lost. A choice?

ISO:100
Exposure: 1/2 second
Aperture: f/22

Technique: I love to go to River Arade shoot... that bridge always make up for an interestig compositions, and when the tide is low, there are very nice water guiding lines to enrich the photo. Here I went for a darker approach, as I wanted to mainly emphasize the water courses, both the main one and the water branch to the left, and be able to transmit the serene and quiet ambience in that afternoon end. Since I'm a huge fan of the classic "star shaped sun",

I went with a much smaller aperture. Unfortunately, this was the best and the worst choice, because most of the photos were ruined by excessive light diffraction, a consequence of small apertures. As to post processing, I converted the raw file with the usual "fill light", exposure, clarity and colour balance adjustments, and then applied noise reduction, minor tweaks and sharpening in photoshop.

I have to say, I just love the title on this. In fact, I love the titles you choose, always. Sometimes, to me, the title makes a piece, and not naming your work is like not naming your child. But you always have the most wonderful fitting titles, and this is one of my favorite. (:
