Trail of Thoughts



The mind seems to be constantly seeking for repetitive visual patterns and paths to be followed. Nature is such a chaos to the unconscious mind, that order is only possible through strong suppression and selection of stimulus. Even knowing that, I'm always surprised with the strength that these patterns have in the soothing of the mind.

Find a trail, put your thoughts into it, walk it, and appreciate the light. This is certainly one of the most pure and intense ways of finding peace...



Shot in Praia do Alemão in Algarve. After a two hour hike, I finally decided to head to the beach to relax a bit. I wasn't satisfied with the photos I had taken in the afternoon, and then all of a sudden, as the sun starts hiding behind that background hill, the sky slowly acquires an extremely strong and captivating golden hue. The two fishermen in the farther distance, and the trail made by a motor vehicle were the ingredients for the foreground composition. I love when the elements surprise me!
