The Visual Contrasts

The harsh rock and the soft green moss, the frozen ice sea and the stagnant warm water, the blurred skies and the sharpened memory of having been there, in a totally desert place. So many visual contrasts creating such a poignant emotional richness inside me, making me want to search further and further for places like this.

Praia da Cordoama

One of my favorite beaches, located in the the south western coast of Portugal. The sea was very agitated that day, and there was sea water spray everywhere, causing that blurred horizon line. Always keep your lens cleaning tissues close on this kind of water, as you will have to usem them every 5-10 minutes!

Exposure: 90 seconds
Aperture: f/9.5
Tripod
3 stop soft ND Grad
10 stop ND filter

Raw conversion with Adobe Camera Raw with fill light, blacks, exposure, white balance, vibrance, highlights, sharpness and noise reduction adjustments.
